  1. Absence makes the heart grow fonder … or so they say. I truly agree with that, you only realise how much you love someone or something when that person or thing is away from you.
From time to time I think about the moments I spent alone without my parents, friends or boyfriend either by being on holidays with my family and not seeing my friends or having too much to study and not spending time with my boyfriend. I'm sure that the time you spend apart from somebody you really love makes you care for that person even more because you start to feel the lack of something you can't have. What's more, distance definitely makes the heart grow fonder, as we tend to forget the negative and focus on the positive aspects of the relationship.
In conclusion when you are forced to be apart from the ones I mentioned before, your feelings just grow stronger, you start to hanker every tiny thing and feelings you had when you were with that person.

  3. "A Problem shared is a problem halved"

It happens almost all the time that people prefer keeping their problems for themselves to sharing them with their family or friends. However, there are others who choose to speak about them with everybody.
Some people suggest that if you have a problem, no matter how big or small it is, it is necessary to find a solution for it without help in order not to get confused or maybe worse.
But others insist that in this kind of situations, the best thing is to talk about them with people you trust on so they can say what they think and you may also feel a bit relieved. For instance, if you had a fight with your mother, you can ask your brother or sister for help and it becomes better to deal with it.
On balance, I believe that you have to do what you feel. Althoug it is sometimes necessary to look for help, you might think that it is not and try to solve them on your own, and it is not always a bad way to find the solution

  4. The proverb “A chain is no stronger than its weakest link” has an important meaning for groups of friends, family and organizations. It means that the strength of any group depends on the individual strength of each of its members, or that groups can be vulnerable because the weakest person or part can always damage or break them apart.
I think this proverb is true because all group members are important in it and the behave of one can be good or bad for others and for the group itself.
An organization is stable when its members have a good relationship between them and when they can do everything without fights or without complaining with another member of the group. But if one of them is weak or is not good, the organization can be broken or damaged. So it’s important that in every group its members help each other, specially help those who are vulnerable or weak. For example, parents of a rich family can have a child who is part of the family business but is not a good worker. This child is someone important in the company because their parents own it and maybe in the future he could be the “boss” of this business. But if he doesn’t work as well as he should, the company could go bankrupt. He is the weakest person of the family, but not because he is not intelligent or things like that, it´s because he is someone vulnerable in the company. I mean, the family and its business can be damaged only because of this child. But his parents should help him so that he can be a good worker and in the future he could keep stable the company. In this way, the family business won’t be threatened by the weakest member of it and maybe the company will get better and better with the time.
In conclusion each member of a group must be stable and strong. If one of them is weak or is not as strong as the others, the group will separate. So it’s important to help each other and also to have a good relationship with the other member of the group.

  5. “April showers bring may flowers “…In my opinion this proverb is a kind of stimulation for bad moments.
It says that although there are dreary, rainy days in April which are probably annoying, we have to feel cheerful because rain starts the flowers growing.
What it really means is that after upset situations which make us feel sad, probably come better moments .It is like a kind of motivation to make people think that something good will happen.
Not everything in life is pain, sadness and suffering, there are also happiness and fun and many other things that make you feel pleased.
In conclusion don´t try to avoid bad instances, they are no longer and you know that after them will come much better ones

  6. "An empty purse frightens away friends", is that right?
This proverb means that when your financial condition deteriorates your friends tend to disappear.
In my opinion, this is not true because if you are talking about loyal friends who stay with you in every moment of your life from having no money to being rich, they are not going to disappear. So if it happens to you that a "friend" goes away because you do not have money, you must know that this person ,who is said to be a friend, it is just someone who is only interested in material things and money.
Friends are those people who you choose to be a big part of your life, like brothers or sisters. And it is supposed that they are going to be with you and help you every time.
In conclusion, I think that this proverb must be change for “An empty purse frightens away fake friends”

  7. "Any time means no time"... Well this proverb means that when a person have no time to do what he want to do, he say anytime when he doesn't plan on doing it at all.
In my opinion, this is true because if you postpone to do something because you fail or other reasons , you won't do it later. This happen to all of us in our life, in everyday activities or things, work, and more. For example in studies, you have to study all your lessons in the last week of your vacation, but when the last week came, you postponed it to another day and finally you forget to study, maybe you have an opportunity but not like other days.
In conclusion, I think that this proverb show us the true about the people, because you always postpone something to another time and you continue doing this for the rest of the things. I don't know if we can avoid this, but it will be better for us.

  8. "Actions speak louder than words"

Some people trust in every promise their acquaintances make them or just in the things that they say, but how can they be sure that these promises are going to be fulfilled? It's needed to know that people often assure things, but never kept it.

What's more, the society has accustomed us to wait too much time for things that are never carried out. So, it’s important you to notice which person is telling the truth and which is not, otherwise you will be waiting for nothing to happen.
Personally, I think that actions speak louder than words, as the proverb well said. In some cases, like in a relationship, saying what you feel sometimes isn’t enough. You have to express the same words with actions, little common details which mean much more than words. Some people often need to see and later they will believe.

In conclusion, words are important when you carry out what you say, the problem is when you just say things. It’s really easy to say words and not show what we really feel or think. Actions say more than we can imagine, they can make you feel much better and release yourself.

  10. An old proverb said “a flower blooms more than once” and I think it’s important to consider it and not to get frustrated when you miss an occasion.

Some people often get mad or feel deflated when this happens but, in my opinion, if you’re going through this situation you don’t even have to take that as an option. What you do have to do is to keep your head up and so go on, thinking that maybe that occasion you've missed wasn't for you and you'll have a better opportunity in the future. A good advice to make it happen is to trust in yourself, be confident and work hard. Be patient and don’t give up because of the lack of immediate results.

In conclusion, a stumble is not a fall and sometimes, if you miss an occasion, you will get another one much better.

  11. All that glitters is not gold…
Its means that everything that appear to be valuable or has a great appearance couldn’t be as it seems.
When you find gold in its natural statement it doesn’t shine, it starts to have glitter; once you have processed it then you're able to realize that something valuable is in your hands... I think that it’s applicable for things in our daily life… Not always what has a very good appearance is what is going to make us happy, that’s the same logic when you talk about people. For example: you’ve already met a boy who is gorgeous with a very nice smile and a nice hair, the typical, as we say, “Brad Pitt”. But then you start to talk with him and he is such a bad person and that is when you say “all that glitters is not gold”. He had a really nice appearance, he “glitters” but he is bad, he isn’t “gold”.
In conclusion, if you want “gold” you mustn’t look for things that are eye-catching, you must focus in their souls…

  12. “All cats are grey in the dark”
This is such a funny and simple proverb. Have you ever heard about it? It has been written long ago by Benjamin Franklin, explaining that in the dark, physical appearance is unimportant, because it is difficult or just impossible to see.
Although it doesn’t give a moral lesson like most proverbs do, it comes out a reality, that we usually don´t have in mind. It is important to understand that the word “dark” refers to the absence of light, but also implies every kind of situations when people look all the same, or the differences between them are not important. No one is better than other. We can also associate it with the fact that it is hard to analyze some social, political or economic factors when there is not as much information as you need. I mean, if we want to define the exact differences between two or more people, or any other else, we need the complete information about both.
Getting back to the main idea of the proverb, the most important thing in a person is her o his personality and attitude. If you only see how they look from the outside, you will understand, through the time, that the way of dressing, making-up or the hair style are not such important things.

  13. A change is as good as a rest

Many times people live a life they hate, a life which is stressing and not worth living,
and they do nothing to change this.
They save money to take some ideal holidays expecting a rest will give some peace to their lives,
they do it to escape from their routine, but this is just a temporary solution

I used to know a man who always woke up every day thinking how much he hated his life, he had a loving wife
and two small children, but the problem was he hated his job,
he spent all his day in a dark office, with a telephone that never stopped ringing.
He worked ten hours a day and by the time he got home, his children were sleeping and his wife completely tired.
He worked saturdays and sometimes sundays too, so he had no time to spend with his family.
But one day he decided to close his office and move to another place to start a new life.
They moved to the beach. They bought a bar and worked togheter selling food and drinks to the tourists.
Now he could spend time with his family and work at the same time

So if you are a person who is always hoping for holidays to arrive maybe it's not holidays
what you need, you just need a change on your life.

  14. The phrase “Rome wasn´t built in a day” considers the effort and responsibility that it takes to do something.
It’s an example of a great city in which was invested a lot of time to make it marvelous, and it refers to all the time you may spent on a project you want to be perfect. You have to think that it’s only an element in the process of the construction of something which makes the final result worth it. It also acts as a reminder of not giving up, so you mightn’t forgot that if you want an excellent ending you must put all your effort on it.
As a conclusion, it shows that the most of the time that you invest on something and the most dedication you give at it, the best you’ll get.

  15. "A monkey in silk is a monkey no less", this proverb means that it doesn`t matter how you dress because you are the same person underneath
Sometimes we think that changing our clothes we can change our personality. We believe that we would be cool if we have trendy and expensive clothes but we can`t change ourselves by wearing new clothes. This usually happens to teenagers who tend to be much more insecure.
We shouldn´t try to change who we are by wearing new clothes because they are just a bundle. The importance we give to them should be less.

  16. A good conscience is a soft pillow:

This proverb says that a clean conscience could be your ally.

Particularly a person who is free of evil, deeds and thought, full of virtue, will have no enemies and nothing to fear so will be able to sleep well at night, where a criminal or spiteful person will not. However some comparisons are made between a soft pillow and a clear conscience because both are necessary to sleep well.

So when someone uses this proverb perhaps is trying to tell you that you must behave well and be honest in any situation so you can have a good conscience, that would help you not to worry about problems and sleep well.

  17. "A man is as old as he feels himself to be."

I think that this proverb it´s about how people act according to their age, or at least according to how they feel.

Sometimes people are too busy working or raising their children, that they forget to make time to have fun or live their life fully, and they start to act and feel like they are older but that´s just because they don´t have time or don´t "make" the time to have fun or play.
The average working person get´s fired so fast that they feel like they are oclogenorions which personally i think it´s a bad thing. We may have more responsabilities but that doesnt mean that we shouldn´t have fun.
To sum up, I think people is as old as they feel, people´s actions and attitudes make them feel older.

  18. "A leopard can not change it's spots"

In my opinion this proverb it's so accurate. Because honestly all human beings are afraid of changes, we all want and need the status quo, we all want everything in it's place, we don't want to change ourselves for other people or situations. We all feel safe when everything is the way it is supposed to be, because we are all afraid of changes.

I also think that this proverb means that you can't change your nature, you can't change who you are or the choices you used to make.

For example the leopard, was born with spots not stripes or plain fur, spots, and it can't do anything to change that because it was born that way, it doesn't matter if you paint stripes on your fur, it will wash away and everybody will see your spots, your inner you.

A bad person for example, doesn't matter how many masks wore or how hypocrite this person could be, it doesn't matter if this person acts like a philanthropist, we will see his inner self his true persona, you can't change who you are.

We all make mistakes but our true self is still good and we can change, but if your intentions are always bad and that is your true personality, you just can't change that, it is almost like fate.

  19. Dear Sir Madam

My name is Pilmayquen Agotiborda and I am the owner of a very important Videogame Shop, and I am writing to you to express my dissatisfaction and to object about your advertisment.

I have just played the new game and I was dissapointed.
My first complaint is that it does not give everyone the chance to win and the second is that it has not low cost ,as the advertisment said. The last complaint is that there is only a big cash prize.
To my surprise, 50 percent of the money goes on administration, which seems ridiculous to me. If I had known that, I would have sent my money directly to charity.

I hope that in future you will be more careful and please assure me that there won't be misleading advertisments anymore.
If I do not get a satisfactory reply, I will have no alternative but to stop buying your products and recommending them.

    Yours Sincerely,

  20. A man is known by the company he keeps.

Many people used to think how other people are just by watching who they gather with. But it does not always mean that they are like them
It happens that if you meet with old people, others would think you are boring, or if you do it with young people, you may be a bit childish for them. But this is related to what you think or what you feel. Of course you can have a friendship with who could be considered as different or strange and it is not bad at all. For example, you can be friends because you listen to the same music and not because we are talking about a politician you have the same thoughts about how to organize a country
To sum up, I believe that you shouldn't pay attention to what others say. If you feel the necessity to be with other people, and they may be different, just do it. It's your problem, not theirs.

  21. "Two wrongs don´t make a right"

In everyday life you have to deal with unpleasant people like your boss or an annoying classmate. These kind of people will make your life so imposible that you´ll surely wonder about taking revenge from something. But remember, when someone has done something bad to you, trying to get revenge will only make things worse.
Many people believes that making a person feel depressed will make feel better themselves. Because of that, they often bother a weaker person, who is in many cases someone who lacks autority. Thinking that they can do whatever they want, they don´t realise they can hurt somebody. Therefore, some of the ones who have been victims of them, claim revenge.
To sum up, there is no point in worrying about these fools, just live happily because, the sooner or the later, they will end up feeling lonely.
