New Written Assessment!

Hi people! sorry that I forgot to post it before!

28 comentarios:

  1. I´m writing to express my dissatisfaction about the new game which is supposed to give everyone the chance to win. I was very disappointed!

The advertisement says there are big cash prizes, but there is only one! If I had known that there was only one big prize, I would not have entered. And I don´t think that 5 pounds a game is a low cost. I was very surprised about that because I think it is awful that you charge so much for a single game.

My second complain is that the advertisement says that all money goes to charity, but is that true? Everyone told me that 50% goes on “administration”. Even worse, my friend told me that you don´t give away anything to charity! If I had known this before, I wouldn´t have played that game.

I would just like to say that you should be more careful about what you write on this advertisements! I hope that in future these advertisements have not misleading.

  2. Dear sir or madame: My name is Melisa and I have recently purchased one game from your new line of products. I bought it after I saw an advert on a news paper.

I am very disappointed that not all the things that the advert shown were in fact true.
The game is not easy to play, I only reach a few levels and I had to stop playing, and that was not the only thing I noticed, I am very much afraid that there was only one "big cash prize" and not at all what I expected. But what vexes me the most is the fact that fifty percent of the money goes on "administration" and that (as a matter of fact) not all the money goes to charity, that is a cruel lie indeed.

The game cost me five pounds, that is not low cost as I recall the advert said.
I am expecting to get a refund and that the company will take full responsibility of this incident; and it would be a marvelous idea if you change you publicist.

I did not enjoy the game thus I am giving it back with this letter.
I look forward to some changes in the company and that this problem can be solved; thank you very much for you attention.

    Sincerely.

    Melisa

  4. Dear Sr/Madam:
I am writing because I wanted to complain about your company game advertisement.
You said that It had a very low cost. In fact, it did not. When I played it, it was 5 pounds a game. I am afraid I can not see anything cheap there. You do not also seem to realise that it is supposed to include big cash prizes, but only one person received one.
My second complain is that the advertisement mentions that all money goes to charity. To my dissapointment, I noticed that 50 percent goes on "administration". I would rather have sent my money directly for those who need it instead of you keeping half of it who knows what for.
Please can you assure me that at least one of this things would be mended?
I look forward to receiving a positive answer soon.
    Yours Faithfully,
    Tatiana Frick.

    1. Great Taty, but you could have done it a bit longer. Anyway you've just made one mistake: complain is the verb, the noun for that is complaint.
      9 for you.

  5. Dear sir o Madame I’m writing to you because I want to express my disappointment about your new game. When I saw your advertisement I was completely fascinated with the game but then after bought and play it, the emotion has gone.
In my opinion the problem is that the advertisement misleads the players, it make on them a big expectation that even exist. The company should be less misleading in the future and offer something as reward like a discount on the next new game or something like that.
My first complain is that the advertisement says that the game has very low cost when just one game cost 5 pounds. Then to my surprise there is only one prize and not many big cash prizes like the advertisement says. But the problems don´t stop there, they say in the advertisement that all the money goes to charity but 50 per cent goes on administration. If I had known, I would sent my money directly to the charity.
Please can you assure me that you will make something about that? If I don´t get a satisfactory reply, I will have no alternative but to make public that what you say in the advertisement is a lie and the game is completely misleading.
    Sincerely .

-after (prep) buying, and playing it.
-the emotion vanished, disappeared (sequence of events in the past)
-it generates big expectations.. that don't even..
      - complaint (noun)
      - a very low..
      -one game costS
      - check the use of third conditional!
      - the word misleading was used three times: synonyms for that: shoddy- deceptive.

  6. Dear Sir/Madam:
I'm writing this letter to complain about the company's advertisement. My first complain is that you said "Big Cash Prices" and in fact, it was only one, if I had known that, I wouldn't have play the game as it is not worth. Even worse you do not seem to realise that 5 pounds is not a "very low cost" as you said in the advertisement. However, the problem did not stop there, to my disappointment you make certain that all money goes to charity but actually 50% goes on "administration", knowing that I would rather have sent my money to the charity.
I hope that in future advertisements you won't be so misleading and will be more careful about what you say, taking into account whether you are going to accomplish that or not.

    1. Hi Flor: good use of language, but kind of short indeed. Check:

      - complaint (noun)
      - prizes (price: cost)
      - third conditional : played..

      I give you a 9.

  7. Dear Sir/Madam
I am writing to express my dissatisfaction with the new game you have developed. I would just like to point out that your advertisement is very misleading.
First of all, you declared that it gave big cash prizes but in fact, you could only win one big cash prize. Even worse, you have also said that there was a very low cost per game and it does not. Each game costs 5 pounds! Last but not least, in your advertisement was announced that all money would go to charity and to my disappointment the 50% goes on ‘administration’.
I hope that in future you will solve these problems because it’s completely dishonest to charge so much for a single game and nor even mentioning the money which is supposed to go to charity. In case you don’t do that, I will have no alternative but to tell other users about it and stop playing your game.
    Sincerely,
    Florencia González

  8. Dear Sir or Madam,
I'm writing this email in order to complain about certain things rearding your advertisement and the new game.
First of all, you say that there are "Big Cash Prices" and, in fact, it was only one. Even worse, your advertisement also said that it was really low cost per game and it was not. Each game costs 5 pounds.
Finally, as regards your claim to give all the money to charity, 50% of it goes on "administration" and only half of the money goes to charity. To my disappointment that was really dishonest.
I hope that the future advertisement will not be so misleading and will be more careful about what you claim.

I am writting to inform you that I found your advertisement so disappointing.

Last week I went to one of your game's shop in order to buy one of the newest. I felt very surprised because as the advert said there should be big cash prices, but I found only one!

Even worse, when I finally decided to buy the game, I found out that each costs 5 pounds! And it came to the question of, where are the very low prices??

The problems don't stop there. You said that "All money goes to charity", so what is that 50% which goes to "Administration"?? That is what you said but is a lie!

I must insist you that this kind of situations will be avoided in a near future..

    Yours faithfully,

  10. Dear Sir/Madam,
I am writing to express my dissatisfaction with some incorrect statements you have made in your advertisment.
First o fall, you said that there are a big cahs prizes, but there is only one. In fact, if I have known that before, I would not have entered. Also, you did not seem to realise that it is not low cost at all. I was very surprised when I found out that it cost £5 a game.
The problems did not stop there. To my dissapointment, all the money did not go to the charitu. We were assured that that is the case but it turns out not to be true, because the 50% goes on "administration".
I really feel you should be misleading in future. If I do not get a satisfactory reply, I will have no alternative but to ask my money back. Please can you assure me that this won't happen again.

  11. Dear Sir/Madam

I am writing in connection with the new game you have developed, which I
saw advertised in my local newspaper. I bought one game las week and I have
to say that I was very dissapointed when I played it.

First of all, your advertisement said that the game would have big cash prizes
but apparently there was only one
You also mention in your advertisement that the game had a very low cost, but
I actually had to pay five pounds for the game, which is more expensive
    than most games
Finally, you also promised that all the money you earn with the game, would
go to charity. However, with the amount of staff you have working on that
game, at least you have to spend 50% of your profit on administration costs

I am returning the game and I expect from you a full refund of the money
I look foward hearing from you
    Yours faithfully

  12. Dear Sir/Madam,

I am writing to you in order to express my dissatisfaction with your new game and its advertisement. You should know that almost nothing being told in there is true.
First of all, you are a huge game company which have earned through time a great reputation because of the accesible prizes you have given. So I was very dissapointed after finding out there was only one prize instead of the "big cash prizes".
About the gamble prices, does 5€ seems a "very low cost" for you? Well, not for me. This type of games never costs that high and, in this situation specially, they should be cheaper.
My last complaint is that you tell the people that all the profits you get go to charity. All those people who knows about this business knows and it is a fact that 50% of them goes on 'administration'. Sure. Now you call it 'administration'. I would like an explination for this.
You prefer lying to people and earning much more money than doing things right. You shoud better stop what you have been doing these days and start doing what it has to be done. As you will realize, I won't be the only client dissapointed and your number of customers will start decreasing if you keep 'playing' under these policies.

Hope you understand my point of view and fix this problem.

    Yours faithfully,
    Lara Svendsen

  13. Dear Sir/Madam:

I am writing to you because I want to express my disappointment about your new game “try your luck”.
My First complaint is that you promoted the game as if it had more than one cash winner prize but the truth is that it has only one big cash prize.

The problems don’t stop there. The tickets were supposed to be at a VERY LOW COST but instead of that, they were 5 pounds each! When I went to buy a ticket, I couldn’t believe what it costs.

Even more, in the advertisement you said that all money goes to charity… You do not seem to realize that people knows the truth about that, we all know that 50% of the total money goes on "administration" so please stop lying about that.

If I do not get a satisfactory reply, I will have no alternative but to take this to the court.

I am writing in order to express my dissatisfaction about the new game that is supposed to give everyone the chance to win.
First of all I am not very sure that I had won at all, because the advertisement said that big cash prizes were given, but I had got only one. My second complain is that you said that it has a very low cost… Actually I do not think that five pounds is a low cost, if I had known that it didn’t worth, I wouldn’t have played it. And my third and last complain is referring to the money which goes to the charity, one of my closest friend told me that the 50% of the money goes on “administration”. Really, I think that it was a bad idea trying to persuade people saying that you are going to help others when it isn’t truth.
I really feel you should be more careful what you say in the future.

  15. Dear Sir/Madam,
I am writing in ordet to complain because the informantion given in the advertisement es misleading.

Firstly, it says "big cash prizes" and there is only one. Reading this sentence, people may think that there will be more than one winner and there will not.

Secondly, the game is advertised as cheap and it is not. It costs 5 pounds which is a very high price.

Lastly, "all money goes to charity" is false because half of it goes on administration. You should detail that so there is no confusion.

In my opinion, it is embarrassing what you did with this advertisement and it should not happen again. I would appreciate it if you refund each player with a free game.

    Yours faithfully,
    John Picklet

  16. Dear Sir/Madam.

The reason for writing is that I must complain for your misleading advertisement. It has 3 wrong statements, they were:

Big cash prizes, actually there was only one.
Very low cost, its wasn´t true because it costs five pounds per game.
And all money gouse to charity, you didnt espesify that 50 % of the profit goes on administration. Your are ripping off the customers that try their luck in order to help people from the charity.

To sum up you should reward all the customers that have been misleaded. In my opinion, you should refound all of us with a free game but that is your decision.
If i do not get a satisfactory reply, I am afraid I will have no alternative but to stop buying your games.

I am writing to complain that I do not feel happy with your new game. You said that there was a big cash prize and actually there is only one. Also you do not seem to realize that the economy has changed and £5 isn't a low cost game.
My second complain is that the game isn't easy to play and even worse, you said that all the money you have won, it will be given to charity but in fact 50%(fifty percent) went to administrators and the other 50%(fifty percent) who know where it is. That really make me rage and I must insist that you are a deceiver.
To sum up you should reward all the affected people that where deceived and misleaded. If you ask me you must refound us with something like a new game. And if you do not make something, this will go to the justice.
I am looking forward hearing from you.

    Yours faithfully
